I draw strength and inner peace by praying. Yes, prayer has been my sole tool to stay positive and confident.

I do not attach too much importance to praying in a temple. Anywhere is fine as long as you are speaking to God. In the morning, after my workout, the first thing I do is pray. I generally lock myself into my room and meditate in silence.

I remember the first time I faced the camera. It was in 1991 for one of the Britannia ads. I prayed to God that he should take me through.

Believe me, by then I had not even made up my mind about television or movies. I did it just for fun. But then things happened and today I would attribute whatever little I have achieved to God.

Touch wood! I have also been able to take the right decisions at the right time. So far whatever I’ve achieved is all because of the positive attitude and enthusiasm God has given me. The power of prayer is incredible. It’s such a comforting thought to know that there is someone above who is always watching you. You kind of feel protected and safe.

Now, having come this far, I would say it is no cakewalk. I had to struggle to make both ends meet at times. I would feel incomplete and lost without someone guiding me. Prayers have given me new dimensions in life. Even though there are problems, you know just how to tackle them. Prayer also takes away the bad omens around you.

When I don’t pray for days, I feel restless। I may not necessarily have a bad day but I am robbed of my sense of serenity। Most of the time we think we pray to please God. But the truth is we pray for our own inner self. We pray for our own well being!
Read More Articles: http://soulnpeace.com/spiritual-articles.html

Understanding And Implementing The Power Of Thoughts

Understanding and learning to consciously and intentionally implement the power of your thoughts is a vital and necessary component of accomplishing and achieving your most sought after dreams and desires. On a larger scale it is crucial to human evolution.

Developing a crystal clear understanding as to how the power of thoughts effect EVERY area of your life will serve to provide not only the "desired" outcomes experienced in your physical world but prove to provide you with unfailing and timeless wisdom that will provide IMMENSE benefit toward enhancing your mental, emotional and spiritual growth, understanding, and fulfillment as well.

As you'll soon discover ANYTHING and EVERYTHING in the world happens as a result of the power of thoughts. The predominant thoughts that you think will mold and shape your life with unwavering certainty

Thought is literally the seed that shapes YOUR external world. In fact, it was the first step in creating it!

So let's take a look at the power of thoughts in our human physical realm.

Think deeply about this for a minute. Had Alexander Graham Bell not thought that he could invent a device that would allow you to pick up a solid object with numerous holes in each end, one that you could hear from and talk into, as well as transmit your voice thousands of miles in lightning fast time, you wouldn't have the convenience of, or ability to, pick up the telephone and talk to someone on the other side of the world.

If the Wright Brothers hadn't first conceived the thought that they could create a machine that would allow people to seemingly defy the law of gravity, we wouldn't know what it was like, or be able to, board an airplane with the ability to travel from one side of the country to the other in a matter of a few hours.

Well, you get the idea. :)

The bottom line is, YOUR thoughts are the initial unseen seed that determine the outcomes that you will experience in the physical world.

Just as you plant a seed in the soil, it must surely produce a plant of like proportion to the seed that was planted. If you were to plant crabgrass seeds you certainly couldn't expect them to produce a big beautiful Oak tree. If you plant crabgrass you get crabgrass. If you plant an apple seed you receive an apple tree.

This simple Universal Principle is known to all. Even a young child understands this.

With the above being true, why would it be any different with our thoughts?
It isn't!

That is great news!

Why?

Because by developing an understanding of this simple principle, we can then go to work on restructuring and implementing the power of thoughts, (more specifically Your Thoughts) to begin to create Your Life based on your newly found knowledge to begin producing DESIRED results.

Just as you would plant the apple seed and receive an apple tree, whatever thought seeds that you release into the Universe must bring back to you in physical form, EXACTLY what you planted.

It doesn't matter what the situation or circumstance, whether it be health, finances, relationships, etc. The power of thoughts is every bit as creative in health situations as it is with money matters. They are equally as creative and powerful in your personal relationships as they are in any other part of your life.

Your control over the power of thoughts can only be determined by your willingness to accept the fact that it's true and become consciously aware of the thoughts YOU choose to think.

Read More on Power of Thought

Proud of INDIA

Interesting facts about India and Indians!
Something to be proud about!
There are 3.22 Million Indians in America
38% of Doctors in America are Indians.
12% of Scientists in America are Indians.
36% of NASA employees are Indians.
34% of MICROSOFT employees are Indians
28% of IBM employees are Indians
17% of INTEL employees are Indians
13% of XEROX employees are Indians
23% of Indian Community in America is having Green Card Some of thesefacts may be known to you.
These facts were recently published in a German Magazine, which dealswith WORLD HISTORY.
Few More Facts…
Rono Dutta has become head of the United Airlines, The biggest airlinesin the world.
Rana Talwar has become head of the Standard Chartered Bank PLC, One ofthe biggest multinational banks in Britain, while still in his 40’s.
Rajat Gupta is head of MCKINSEY the biggest management consultancy firmin the world. He opined that Chappell could be associated with Indian cricket and help in the implementation of the long term plans.

Former Captains way

Form Cricket Committee: A committee may be constituted from among the captains to advise on cricketing matters and the committee should meet every quarter.

Subhash Chandra’s way

A parallel cricket league called the Indian Cricket League in the country.

My Solution – KISS – keep it simple stupid

All this can be achieved with a combination of solution

Start a Indian cricket league – not the way Subhash Chandra wants it … simply because he wants to start this for his own selfish reasons . He will only complicate the situation .

Let the BCCI start a league with the help of Indian corporate

Say there are eight teams to start with

A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H

Invite corporate world to form their teams

Say A is Tata , B is Reliance , C is Airtel , TCS or Sahara or LG etc etc

Give each team a stadium – say Airtel gets Mohali , Tata gets Wankhede … now that becomes there home ground and they are responsible for the up gradation of stadium and pitches etc

Let them hire players (foreign as well as Indians) on the same lines as football clubs – let them have foreign coaches /trainers /support staff.

The Objective is to have

Eight super strong teams, who should be capable of beating any other test team in the world

BCCI should take the role of ICC – I mean they should be the super body, just like ICC and all the other eight members should function as test-playing nations does in international format

Let them play with each other in all the three formats – test matches, one day and 20:20

Presence of 4-5 international players in each team will ensure a good competitive cricket.

Run it like a professional league (similar to football league)

For the time being

1 Don’t dismantle the domestic cricket – let it run the same way – use it for drawing the talent to professional league

2 Zonal academies should also be introduced to supply the fresh talent

3 Cut down on international matches by 50% … play with the best only . Let our players concentrate on local professional league

It’s a win –win for all the parties except ICC

What’s in it for BCCI?

Sell the TV rights and use the money for development of cricket at grass root level

What’s in it for corporate?

Advertisement, Free publicity, there clubs can be converted into a profitable business venture – similar to football clubs

What’s in it for cricketers?

Right now, only handful of players become really rich …rest of the lot…though maybe equally talented does not get the fair share. This system will ensure that large number of cricketers get enough to lead a respectable life

What’s in it for fans?

They get to see the completive game on regular basis without breaking down emotionally

Why corporate?

Simply because they are far more organized and professional in spotting talent, hiring, training and retaining. They know how to motivate and get the maximum out of a professional.

The bottom line

Imagine , Indian cricket after few years

1) It can have eight world class stadiums , having best of pitches and facilities

2) It can have eight world class coaches and support staff

3) It can have 150 professional players pool to choose a team of eleven for international matches

And much more – Just think over it – if you agree with me then email this to as many Indians as you can and put your comments on the blog at following link

Praveen Verma

albatross@afcl.com

Nice Story

HOW POOR ARE WE? One day a father took his son and rich family to a trip to the country with the firm purpose to show his son how poor people can be. They spent a day and a night in the farm of a very poor family. When they got back from their trip the father asked his son, "How was the trip?"
"Very good Dad!" replied his son.
"Did you see how poor people can be?" the father asked.
"Yeah!"
"And what did you learn?"
The son answered, "I saw that we have a dog at home, and they have four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden; they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lamps in the garden; they have the stars. Our patio reaches to the front yard, they have a whole horizon." When the little boy was finishing, his father was speechless.
His son added, "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are!"
Our outlook on life depends on the way you look at things. What others may think as riches, others may want. The most important things in life are your friends, family, health, good humor and a positive attitude towards life. We read the newspaper, study books, write reports, engage in conversation, solve problems, etc etc. Typically, as we do these normal activities we engage in a constant mental commentary, sort of an inner "The Drama of Me." Usually people aren't fully aware of all the mental thought activity that we are constantly engaged in. Open soul meditation allows all this activity to settle down, and often results in the mind becoming more peaceful, calm and focused. In essence, open soul meditation allows the awareness to become rejuvenated'.
Meditation can be considered a technique, or practice. It usually involves concentrating on an object, such as a flower, a candle, a sound or word, or the breath. Over time, the number of random thoughts occurring diminishes. More importantly, your attachment to these thoughts, and your identification with them, progressively become less. The meditator may get caught up in a thought pattern, but once he/she becomes aware of this, attention is gently brought back to the object of concentration. open soul meditation can also be objectless, for example consisting of just sitting.
Experiences during open soul meditation probably vary significantly from one individual to another, or at least if different techniques are involved. Relaxation, increased awareness, mental focus and clarity, and a sense of peace are the most common by-products of open soul meditation. While much has been written about the benefits of open soul meditation, the best attitude is not to have any expectations when practicing. Having a sense of expectation of (positive) results is likely to create unnecessary strain in the practice. As well, since open soul meditation involves becoming more aware and more sensitive to what is within you, facing unpleasant parts of oneself may well be part of open soul meditation. Regardless of the experience, the meditator should try to be aware of the experience and of any attachment to it. Failure to experience silence, peace of mind, mental clarity, bliss, or other promoted benefit of open soul meditation is not in itself a sign of incorrect practice or that one can't concentrate properly or concentrate enough to be good at open soul meditation. Whether one experiences peace or bliss is not what is important. What is generally considered important in open soul meditation is that one is regular with their open soul meditation -every day- and that one make a reasonable effort, but not strain, to remain with the object of concentration during the practice. With regular practice one inevitably acquires an increased understanding of and proficiency with the particular open soul meditation technique.
Some people use the formal concentrative meditation as a preliminary step to practicing a mindfulness open soul meditation during the day where one tries to maintain a calm but increased awareness of one's thoughts and actions during the day.

For some people, open soul meditation is primarily a spiritual practice, and in some cases the open soul meditation practice may be closely tied to the practice of a religion such as, for example, Hinduism or Buddhism
